This is an application for a pool of funding generously donated by the Doctors of BC. The MUS VP Externals, Devon Mitchell and Reem Aziz, will be compiling the applications for submission to Doctors of BC to be adjudicated. Doctors of BC will be making the final funding decisions. Please read through the following criteria that Doctors of BC will be adjudicating these applications on:
Doctors of BC takes great pride and pleasure in supporting the innovative work of BC medical students through our annual MUS Grant. Recipients of Doctors of BC grant support are selected based on several factors, the most significant being alignment with our strategic plan and a connection with our purpose and mission (www.doctorsofbc.ca/who-we-are). The following are guidelines only and should not be taken as exhaustive or exclusive:

To promote a social, economic and political climate in which members can provide the citizens of BC with the highest standard of health care, while achieving professional satisfaction and fair economic reward.
Funding Benchmarks
- Aligns with our strategic plan, values, purpose
- Connects with our current projects
- Reflects well on Doctors of BC and its members
- Demonstrates advocacy, outreach, leadership, innovation
- Engenders collaboration and making a meaningful difference
- Benefits the community, patients, and medical students
- Bid is well presented, concise message, clear plan
Negative Factors
- Expenses seemed guessed, minimal research evident
- Bid not well thought out, or not explained clearly enough
- Supports a point of view that is controversial with our members
- Event proposed more as a gathering, minimal scholastic depth
