Spring Gala

Spring Gala 2022

The UBC Medicine Spring Gala is a locally famous showcase displaying incredible performances and artistry by UBC medical students, occurring annually at the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts. This year, we are excited and hopeful to be bringing the Spring Gala back as a live, in-person event at the Chan Centre. In addition, we have also curated an online Art Show displaying artwork by medical students and alumni as well as a Silent Auction for artwork and items donated by local businesses.

Event information:
Date: Saturday, April 23 at 7:00 – 10:00 pm
Tickets: coming soon! Please visit our website for more information.

This year, proceeds from the Gala will be put towards raising money in support of the Vancouver Aboriginal Friendship Centre Society. The mandate of the centre is to meet the needs of the urban Aboriginal People making a transition to the urban community. The centre provides programs in health and welfare, social services, human rights, culture, education, recreation and equality for all genders of Aboriginal People of all age groups.

We express sincere gratitude to all who are helping in the production of the Spring Gala, especially Dr. Andrew Seal, colorectal surgeon and previous Dean of Student Affairs, who founded the Spring Gala and continues to be a passionate supporter of the arts in medicine.
